This is our teacher Sarah and her personal story how she found Holistic Health and introduced it into her life. It began when she struggled with menstrual issues since the start of her period. She then started researching about women’s health and menstrual health in all aspects: physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. She then started on her own healing journey including Yoga and Ayurvedic practices to reduce her own symptoms, and now she’s guiding women towards more health and balance within their lives. In her work she utilizes yoga practices that support her clients in balancing the different phases of the menstrual cycle and teaches them to embrace their feminine cyclical power.

For those of you who don’t know us we are Ram Ja For those of you who don’t know us we are Ram Jain, founder and senior teacher, & Kaylani Hauswirth-Jain, creative director and senior teacher. We thought we should share with you, our story and how we began… Arhanta Yoga started in the small living room of Ram’s house in Tilburg, the Netherlands in 2007. Since then with a great deal of hard work, commitment and love, Arhanta Yoga has grown into the two beautiful yoga ashrams (in Ram’s home country India and his second home, the Netherlands) that we have today where we provide a peaceful and serene haven for focused study and introspection. Our mission has always been and remains to provide professional yoga education courses that improve the standard of yoga teaching worldwide and enable our students to make a fulfilling and prosperous living! “ғᴀsᴄɪᴀ” what is it? And what purpose “ғᴀsᴄɪᴀ” what is it? And what purpose does it serve? 

In recent years, the concept of fascia has become more popular and is addressed (usually as a side topic) during yoga anatomy classes.

To understand how we do the postures, we focus on the musculoskeletal system to remember which muscles move which bones via their specific attachments. By learning how the nervous system works and assigning specific nerves to each muscle, we are supposed to work out which actions do which movements and understand the postures accordingly.

But can we really understand our bodies and our movement in this way? This is the new question fascia calls us to ask…
